Nick Cave is back in NYC! No, not "The Tall Handsome Man", the "Conceptual Artist Black Man".
The one with a whole Heard of dancers in horse costumes.
Didn't understand what was going on until they started. Really beautiful. There was a harpist, a drummer and lots of dancers as horses and as riders dancing together. The dancers were amazing. I forget they were there. They behaved like horses. Each with their own different personalities.
The event sponsored by Creative Time was one of the most enjoyed pieces of performance art I have ever seen. The day I saw it NYC children were off from school and they were entranced and beside themselves in amazement. They were touching the long strands of raffia which created the most unusually lifelike horse hair movement.
Nick Cave is a genius. Go see, and tell your friends. It's a moment to be experienced.
